Gymnastics Counselor

Being a gymnastics counselor who maintains a high level of safety while teaching gymnastics skills can be very rewarding and enjoyable. Job Summary:

  • The Gymnastics Counselor is responsible for planning and leading gymnastics activities and lessons for campers of all ages and skill levels.
  • The Counselor will create a fun and supportive environment for campers to learn and grow in their gymnastics abilities, while also maintaining a high level of safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead daily gymnastics activities and lessons for campers of all ages and skill levels
  • Maintain a high level of safety at all times, including conducting regular equipment checks and helping campers to properly set up and use equipment
  • Adapt teaching style and approach to meet the needs and abilities of different campers
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment for campers
  • Ensure that all campers are participating and having a fun and engaging experience
  • Assist with the set-up and clean-up of gymnastics equipment and facilities
  • Attend and participate in all staff meetings and training sessions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Camp Director

Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching gymnastics to children of various ages and skill levels
  • Strong knowledge of gymnastics skills and techniques
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of different students
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Positive and patient attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team and create a fun and engaging atmosphere
  • Experience working with children in a camp or recreational setting is preferred
