Ceramics Counselor

The Ceramics Counselor is responsible for leading and supervising ceramics activities for children ages 7 to 15 at Camp Ramaquois. The Ceramics Counselor is responsible for creating and implementing engaging and educational ceramics projects, maintaining a safe and organized workspace, and providing guidance and support to campers as they develop their artistic skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a variety of ceramics projects for campers, including hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized ceramics studio, including setting up and breaking down equipment and materials
  • Provide guidance and support to campers as they work on their ceramics projects
  • Encourage campers to be creative and take risks in their artwork
  • Monitor campers to ensure their safety and well-being while participating in ceramics activities
  • Collaborate with other counselors and staff to create a fun and engaging camp experience for all campers

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in a camp or education setting
  • Knowledge of ceramics techniques and materials
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a group of children and maintain a safe and organized workspace
  • Creative and innovative approach to teaching and leading ceramics activities
